OK, I'm back to my Spitfire mania and searching for missing photographs. I need photographs of: 1) Spitfire MkIX(c?) TE215 AP•A. This is a low-back with the full wing. - I want to conform that this is c not e. 2) Spitfire Mk VII flown by Peter Brothers PB• MD188. Only illustrations found so far. In Osprey is a drawing with regular wing and invasion stripes. Reading about them I found that many changed wing tips after invasion, than repainted to regular camouflage pattern. 3) Spitfire PR IV Trop, BR418. All I have is very nice kit from Sword. Instruction is saying that it was painted white with PRU blue or Royal Blue on a top. I have NO photographs to conform that. THANKS

Working from memory but will check tomorrow but:
1) Pretty certain that would be an 'e' wing
2) Pics in Spitfiore at war 3 I think
3) Have a pic of that in one of the Spitfire at war books

GREAT Interesting, is this one or two kites? I have pointed wingtips in the kit, and Sword id notorious for making "mistakes" with decals (as long they can squeeze product) - That is complain from one of my friends who writes for Kagero! But if they are TWO different aircrafts - I'm happy!

BTW, so far i found ONLY speculative builds of Brothers MkVII. If push will get to shove I will make NX•L (I'm about to close fuselage by now).

About to close this one: The back part is as good assumption as I can make. It is based on 5 different photographs of 3 different marks. All of them with Lobelle canopy.

- No problem Dave! Thanks for help - I "lost" picture of AP•A (that I KNOW that I have) somewhere between 7 hard drives, so I postponed making the model. I am planning a big comeback to my Spitfire builds and trying to lay out the "master plan" of models. I will make several MkIX including one from Abukir (BS354) that have this same paint scheme as NX•L, hence PB• was a nice option to use

Osprey Late Mark Spitfire Aces has a pic of MD110 in MSG/PRU Blue and one of MD1** NX/B in normal day fighter colours with standard tips (as well as a profile of PB in MSG/PRU blue)
SatW3 had several shots of the 131 Squadron aircraft.

The profile and reading Ventura Classic Warbirds #5 give me idea of making Brothers plane with extended wing tips. Ventura has nice pictures of YQ•E that I was initially planing to do. Just an idea of ANOTHER gray/green Spit was holding my hopes for PB•. However I may go back to that plan. It will be interesting next to MkVI BS124 wit the large filter and Skalski's MkVIII JF447 UF•7. All of them with extended wings.

This one is very interesting. My guess that top is MSG but bottom Azure blue. Markings - well suppose that photo was taken with BLUE filter (hence red is very dark), they may be PRU Blue.
