Ha Ha! They'd have to drag me kicking and screaming.
What I don't quite understand is why other residents of the UK don't get a vote - those in England, Wales and N Ireland, not just the Scots in Scotland or ex pats. It is their Union too.
But it appears they don't get a say in the composition of the Union.
It would be interesting if that did happen, and the Scots in Scotland voted No, and the others voted Yes. What would happen then......?

It's an ineresting question - the history of other secession votes seems to show only those in the 'new' country voting (If we took Quebec as a comparison - if you let the whole of Canada vote, and my Canadian relatives are anything to go by, you may get exactly the situation you describe!)

Because, presumably, I don't get to tell you where you can live. As much as you might dislike the idea of another part of the country seceding, you can't really force them to stay against their will. (see: Ireland, Spain, Chechniya, etc)
More interesting, something that HAS come up WRT Quebec, and which I haven't heard a anything about for Scotland... what if the majority vote to leave, but significant geographic portions vote to stay? This was a big issue in the last Quebec referendum - most Native bands (who control significant tracts of land) said they were not bound by the referendum and planned to remain part of Canada. Montreal (the economic/commercial centre of the province) was largely against secession, and there was much debate about what would happen if they voted to leave Quebec to return to Canada.

It has been mentioned in relation to Orkney and particularly Shetland
