Nope, not going there. Just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas. Tons of Lego in the house will keep me busy, Ipods for the kids will keep them quiet, the pool is heated up and my cousin will be over tomorrow.
This has been one of those years that, through family- and public events, leave you a little bit extra grateful for what you have and where you are in life. Whenever you feel life sucks a bit there are so many around the world, family, friends or strangers, that are SO much worse off ...

Agreed! 2012 was a fantastic year for me...until November when my liver exploded and I spent a couple weeks in the hospital. It was touch-and-go for a bit, but it looks like the docs have come up with a fix. Still gonna have a tube hanging out of my belly for at least the next several months, but it could be much worse.

Glad you came out of that ordeal with nothing but a tube attached. If it's the right size maybe you could use it for your airbrush afterwards?

Well, I have to flush it twice a day using disposable 10ml syringes filled with sterile saline. I've been saving the empties for possible model use..probably have a few hundred by the time it's all said and done.

You're lucky Kyrre, I don't get to touch the Lego until it's built!! Jabba's Palace, Pod Racers and various other sets. "Do you need a hand?" 'Nope Dad, buildings the bit I like best!"
Glad to hear you are on the mend Steve.

Sorry to hear that Steve. Glad you are doing better. For me 2012 was a rebuilding year. Some great things, some hard times. Overall, the future looks really bright...if only I could finish a model... Just before the holidays, the girlfriend and I volunteered at a local soup kitchen. It really was a really good reminder. Whole families with small children so thankful for a meal or a small Christmas gift for their children. Made me realize so much of what can be sucky in my life...work stress, a bi-coastal relationship, canopy masking, seem so amazingly minor. I am one thankful and lucky man. Here is to 2013. Jim
