having played around with the material for making some moulds, I'm wondering what you guys use as 'filler'? I know Kyrre used Light Curing putty on his undercarraige leg, but what else? I'd imagine most resins would be inappropriate as they are exothermic.
(Cold curing resin?)

How about some epoxy glue? Pretty sure some 5- or 12 minute epoxy would work. Might not be the best to sand afterwards.

Was thinking that - or one of the epoxy putties. I
found a vid using Games Workshop 'Green Stuff; which must be different from Squadron 'Green Stuff'!!

The problem with the putties is that they are kind of hard, even after a good kneading.

I'm pretty sure Games Workshop's green stuff is an epoxy putty, so that'd be an option. And I wouldn't rule out resin. Yes, they're exothermic, but most don't get *that* hot (and you could mitigate the heat by setting the Oyumaru in cold water soaked tissues, though that would extend cure time).
If you *have* resin, I'd experiment with that. Although honestly, I just go with light curing putty. Love that stuff.

I was told that the Games Workshop Green Stuff is a thick artist's paste tinted green, so I'm not sure how it would be good to cast anything...

(ahem) I do have some old fashioned polyester resin as well! That'd work, too. Bondo or Tamiya's Polyester Putty, or similar (though that's some noxious, nasty-ass stuff!)

This is even more 'bleurgh!' - it's the stuff that forms the resin/liquid part of fibreglass repair kits
