Is underwater today.
Unbelievable images coming in - it looks like almost the entire downtown area is underwater. About 25 communities inside the city have been evacuated - it has to be more than 100 000 people that have been displaced.
The entire city has been effectively bisected - two rivers run through the city, both are flooding and almost all bridges have been closed. It's really just unimaginable.
And yet... I'm on high ground. It's not raining here, it's actually kind of nice out... walking around *my* neighbourhood, it's hard to imagine what's going on just 20 minutes north. I'm looking at pictures of all kinds of places I recognize, and it's just unrecognizable. It feels really surreal - if I didn't have the TV on, walking around my neighbourhood, I'd have no idea.
