Back in 1994, Tiger Beer had a NZ P-51 Mustang repainted for a TV commercial - ZK-TAF....in the book Southern Cross Mustangs, there's a couple of photos, and some line drawings of how it was painted for the ad. Did a little more research, and found some great photos of the whole process from go to whoa forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?23371-Tiger-Beer-Mustang....ironically, the paint guide they're using shows a Spitfire...
Because I much prefer civvy schemes, I decided to have a crack at designing some decals for it, so I've been pottering around on the 'puter, and come up with this. The "8" isn't quite right - it looks a little fat - and there's still the shark-mouth to do.....and maybe the scallops on the tailfin..
