Tiffy from Academy is not a bad kit, but needs several corrections:
Reshaping nose (up and wider), replacing exhaust stacks, correcting undercarriage (length and shape of covers), narrowing and reshaping propeller and replacing canopy (this one is from Squadron/Falcon).
In addition I replaced horizontal stabilizers with Matchbox's Tempest ones.
Interesting is the choice of decals by Academy, to bad only serial numbers are acceptable - this ones are from Decal Carpena.
I left landing gear interior as it is in the kit.
What is interesting of this particular plane, is the fact that it was one of first Typhoons with Tempest elevators and installed possibly after painting airframe. The invasion stripes on the wings were much closer to fuselage (almost in this same place as recognition stripes before) - that judging from the pattern on landing gear. The stripes are over painted on upper surfaces with a fresh paint, hence bright code letters. Possibly two landing lights, just like in earlier dashes. Over all it must have been late mid production airplane.

, and good luck with the Airfix kit. I'm close to finish it, but amount of corrections is bigger than on Academy kit.
