Brirish Heavy Metal, The Airfix Sea Vixen

So here it is, the magnificent 1 /48 Airfix Sea Vixen. I started this kit within weeks of it being released and finished ( well you know what I mean) it today. Just to be different I have done it in drone colours of an aircraft operated by Flight Refuelling Ltd during 1980/81. Fortunately one of the aircraft in the kit is the same as the one I wanted to build which gave me the correct underwing serials. It's not brilliant but it's mine and I enjoyed building and finishing it.




Now onto the next one, and that next one might be the Alley Cat Sea Vixen FAW.1 conversion.

Very nice crisp colour demarcation on that one Rory. Always liked the drone scheme on these jets.

Is the refuelling probe meant to be trying to do a pole vault?

Nice. I've got one coming in the mail - any hints/tips for the build?

The most important thing to do is follow the instructions on this one regarding putting the wings and wingy bits together.
