Both my friends Grant Kinzel and Fred Phillips are in Monterey this weekend for the Pebble Beach Concours De Elegance. They plan on attending the RM Auction, it's a must do event. It will be interesting to see what this goes for, they so rarely come up for sale.... |

Mmmmm.... purty. Coincidentally, I just bought a 250GT SWB. Not a California, though.  Though mine's from Le Mans.  But it didn't win. However it did make first in it's class. Looks like a hell of an auction, actually. There's not many cars on the list that I *wouldn't* love to have. And an impressive collection of Le Mans competitors and homologations - I'm actually kind of surprised at how "cheap" they are. |

By that time, the 1962 250GT SWB Ferrari's were already tearing up tracks and roadways on both sides of the Atlantic.... And not a Spitfire in sight..... |
